She said this was the only way they could enhance their welfare and meaningfully contribute to national development.

Ms. Gomashie made the call at a three-day symposium organised by the National Threatre, under the auspices of the ministry, in collaboration with Azaguno Incorporated, a dance group and Ohio State University, in USA.

She said “It’s important to be prepared all the time for life. Know what you want and find a role model and learn from him or her”.

Ms. Gomashie said the failure of the youth to develop would retard growth, development and increase poverty in the country, and advised them to be hardworking.

The Executive Director, National Theatre, Amy Appiah Frimpong asked the youth to be abreast of technological advancement to be able to cope with modernisation.
