W/R prison ladies support Essikado Govt Hospital

Supt. Ewoame presenting the items to Miss Amoah while PRILAS members look onThe Western Regional branch of the Prisons Ladies Association (PRILAS), has donated food items, detergents and toiletries, to the Essikado Government Hospital, as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the group.
The event was organised on the theme: “Celebrating a proud past – empowering the female prisons officer for excellence.”
Presenting the items to the hospital on Tuesday, the Western Regional President of PRILAS, Superintendent Hannah Ewoame, said the donation was PRILAS’ contribution to the sick.
She said  “As we celebrate PRILAS’ 10th anniversary, we want to reach out to the vulnerable, and also improve the health of the patients at the Essikado Hospital, as part of our contribution to the health sector”.
Supt. Ewoame said the association would as part of the celebration participate in  clean-up exercise,  health walk,  breast and cervical cancer screening, fun games, excursion to Kakum National  Park  and the Maximum Security Prisons at Ankaful in the Central Region and a thanksgiving  service .
Receiving the items, the Senior Nursing Officer (SNO) and deputy matron at the hospital, Miss Joycelyn Amoah, thanked PRILAS for the gesture, and appealed to individuals and organisations to come to the aid of the hospital.
