Justice Dzamefe – Chairman of the Commission

The spokesman for the 2014 World Cup Commission, Thomas Boakye Agyemang has insisted that there is no confirmed date yet for the presentation of its report to the President John Mahama.

There have been widespread reports that the Presidency is ready to receive the long-awaited report of the Commission.

The three-member Commission, chaired by Justice Senyo Dzamefe completed its work three months ago and have been waiting to present its report to the President.

The reports had claimed the report will be presented to President Mahama on Friday but the Commission’s spokesman Thomas Boakye Agyemang says they are not aware of this.

“Officially the commission has not been made aware of a confirmed date to present a report,” he told Angel FM.

“The Commission doesn’t have a designated office since the completion of its work so I don’t know how or where such an official communication will be lodged.

“I have however checked with Justice Senyo Dzamefe and he also says he doesn’t have such a communication.”

The Presidential Commission was set up to gather facts and make recommendations over Ghanas poor showing at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and other related issues.
