WORK has resumed on the multi-million Ghana Cedi Volta Regional Library project in Ho.
According to the contractors, Tallmann House Limited, the state-of-the-art library would be ready before the end of the year.
When completed, the edifice would have an administrative wing, a main library, children’s library, an internet cafe and a data collection unit among other sections.
About 80 per cent of the Government of Ghana project has been executed since it took off 13 years ago.
The project dragged since 2003 and stopped at various stages of its implementation due to the lack of funds.
The delay in the completion of the project has given cause for public displeasure in the regional capital in recent time.
However, the Chief Executive Officer of Tallman House, Mr. William Nutsuakor, told The Ghanaian Times at the site last week that government had released funds for the completion of the final stages of the project.
