An Accra circuit court will on March 3, determine the fate of Queenie Akuffo, alleged to have used a dildo (sex toy) to violently abuse a female friend.
The court set the date for judgement after the accused closed her case in the matter yesterday.
The court presided by Mrs. Abena Adjin Doku, ordered counsel for the accused, Andrew Kudzu Vortia to file his address by February 15, following which it would pronounce judgement on March 3.
Janet Amoakwah, the woman, who was sexually abused by the accused, had earlier testified in the case.
In her testimony, Amoakwa, unemployed, told the court that she provides laundry services for the accused, who is her neighbour.
She said on Monday, January 25,2016 when she returned from town, her younger sister, informed her that the accused was looking for her, adding that she went to meet Akuffo drinking beer and dancing.
Amoakwah, added that she was offered some alcohol but she refused it. She said that the accused sent her (victim’s) sister to buy some more beer, and convinced her to drink, after which she became intoxicated.
“I did not see anything again. I only realised it was next day and in my mum’s bed,” she disclosed in her testimony.
According to Amoakwa, she and the mother lodged a complaint at the police station about complaint of sexual assault and obtained a medical form to attend hospital.
The prosecutor, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Judith Asante, also told the court that the complainant, Comfort Sam, mother of the victim, lives in the same vicinity with the accused at Ablekuma.

She added that the accused offered Vodka drink to the victim and she became intoxicated and the accused lured her into her bedroom.
DSP Asante said: “Thereafter, the accused sacked persons who are witnesses in the case from the room and she closed her door. Later, one of the witnesses, agd 13, peeped through the window of the accused, and saw the accused using artificial penis to penetrate the vagina of the victim,”
The witness quickly informed the complainant’s brother, who also alerted the victim’s mother, and when they rushed into the room they found her (victim) lying naked on accused’s bed.
DSP Asante said the victim was unconscious and was rushed to the hospital after a report was made to the police.
The Prosecutor added that during a search carried out in the room of the accused after her arrest, the police found empty Vodka, Star beer as well as Origin bottles and the artificial penis.
The accused admitted the offence in her caution statement.
