The Chief Policy Analyst of the Ghana Institute for Public Policy (GIPPO), Dr. Charles Wereko-Brobby has charged the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to solve the internal wrangling that has bedeviled the party for over one year now.
According to him, members of the Council of Elders and the National Executive Committee and other leading members are in a power struggle and acting with impunity.
“Everybody is behaving like a king kong in the party,” Dr. Wereko-Brobby said in an interview on Tuesday.
Dr. Wereko-Brobby who is also a former Chief Executive Officer of the Volta River Authority added that failure to solve the problems in the NPP ahead of the 2016 general elections could lead to apathy among supporters of the party.
He urged Nana Akufo-Addo to stamp his authority and unite the party to fight towards winning the 2016 general elections.
