‘We’re not recruiting’

The Ghana Police Service has stated that it is not undertaking any recruitment exercise currently.

The announcement follows reports of potential recruits who arrived at various police training institutions across the country to begin training.

“People who have arrived at various police training institutions today to commence training institutions are, therefore, to take note and return to their homes,” Director of Public Affairs at the Service, DSP Cephas Arthur, told The Ghanaian Times in Accra.

He said persons who had any invitation to report received for training, should treat such information as definite work of fraudsters.

He said people who find themselves in such situations should report to the nearest police station or the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters.

“When the police is ready for recruitment, it will be extensively published in the media for all to know,” DSP Arthur said.
