Black Queens midfielder, Priscilla Okyere says the team has overcome the pressure of the opening game and has promised the team was relaxed ahead of the Mali game today.

Ghana will go into the next game knowing a win will see them through to the next round.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Okyere admitted the team was overawed by the huge crowd with high expectation, adding that, the team would go into today’s game in a calm manner.

“We saw the fans and wanted to impress them but we have been spoken to and we will create and take our chances this time.”

According to her, the Queens will build on that performance and bang in the goals against the Malians.

She described the Malians as a very tough and difficult side that has developed well from the last time Ghana played them and beat them 3-1.

“They may have developed but for Ghana they are not a threat for us and we would beat them and qualify for the next stage,” she added.

Head Coach of the side, Bashir Hayford said they were aware of the danger the Malians represent but was confident to triumph over them.

Mali’s defender, Konte Kani said they would go all out against the Ghanaians today to brighten their chances of qualification.

“We are in a difficult position now and one way to redeem ourselves is by beating Ghana and that is what we’ll be coming for.”

The experienced defender said Ghana is a strong side and backed by the home crowd, it would be a very difficult game.

“Football is full of surprises and we all saw what happened in the Group B games on Sunday. This means that anything can happen in football so we are ready for anything.”

Mali Coach, Mohammed Saloum Houssein attributed their loss to Cameroon to fatigue and stressed that he was working on that side of the team to make sure they stay on top of their game.
