We Need To Win -Appiah

COACH Kwesi Appiah has suggested changes will be made in his starting IX for the crunch FIFA World Cup clash against Germany on Saturday.

Ghana lost its first game to USA and will need redemption against the Germans on Saturday to stand any good chance of progressing from the group.

Defeat for Ghana will mean the end of the road for the Black Stars in this year’s World Cup and Kwesi Appiah says he will be tempted to ring some changes though not on mass basis.

Appiah, who is leading Ghana at the finals for the first

time, is not kidding himself that some players can instantly cure all of his team’s ills.

“We are going to change everything. Our approach, game tactics and some players as well,” he told reporters.

“We need to win, so do Germany. We have to change our attitude and put different measures in place. And we are aware of that. We were unlucky against USA”.

“The German attackers and entire squad are very powerful. They have a lot of young players with great potential. They are very fast and make quick decisions – they get into the right areas. We will have to look to limit that if we want to win to have any good chances of making it out of this group”.
