Warrant issued for arrest of armed robber

An Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of one Richard, a 32-year-old man, for alleged armed robbery.

The court, presided by Mr. Aboagye Tandoh, also issued separate warrants for the arrest of Richard’s accomplices, namely, Ofei 30, Mustapha and Oboye.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Kwabena Adu told the court that  Richard and Ofei are natives of Aburi and Mampong Akwapem in the Eastern, and Ashanti Regions, respectively, while Oboye and Mustapha resides in Ashaiman and Dwawenya in the Greater Accra Region.

He said the accused are believed to be hiding in Tema, Ashaiman, Accra, and Aflao in the Volta Region.

Chief Inspector Adu said on July 7, 2017 at about 2am, the alleged armed robbers, who were on board a taxi driven by Emmanuel Agorvoh, broke into the complainant’s house and made away with two Samsung edge mobile phones, Dell laptop computer, DVR for CCTV and Mossberg pump action gun valued at GH¢20,000.

The court heard that the accused absconded with the booty moments before the police arrived on the crime scene.

Mr. Adu said the complainant is a resident of Ashongman Estates.

Meanwhile, members of the public have been urged to volunteer information for the arrest of the accused on 18555, 191 and 0243382836.
