THE Volta River Authority (VRA), has presented 12 water reservoirs (polytanks) valued at GH¢100,800 to the Aboadze, Abuesi and Dwomo communities, as part of its corporate social responsibility programmes to the three areas.

It has also constructed 16- seater aqua privy toilets each to the Aboadze and Aboasi communities at the cost of GH¢200,000.

The projects, which formed   part of the VRA’s package to improve conditions of living in the beneficiary communities in which it operated, were also to ensure good corporate relations with the residents.

Speaking at the ceremony, the manager in charge of Environment and Sustainable Development at the VRA, Kwasi Prempeh, said the authority, as part of its desire to work harmoniously and peacefully decided to provide the communities with the projects.

He appealed to the communities to maintain the projects to ensure their sustainability for the benefit of future generations.

The Chief of Aboadze, Nana Kobina Atom III, who was assisted by the Chief of Aboasi, Nana Amakye II and Mr. Prempeh to inaugurate the projects, thanked the VRA for the gesture which he said would not only benefit residents of the three communities but other Ghanaians as well.
