UAE Shows Interest In Ghana’s Aviation Sector

DZIFA ATSIVOR MIN. OF TRANSPORT  (4)The United Arab Emirate Aviation Association (UAEAA), has expressed  interest in partnering government to improve Ghana’s aviation industry.

According to the UAEAA, Ghana has the potential to become the leading aviation industry in Africa due to its policies and good governance.

The president of the UAEAA, Mr. Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi, disclosed this yesterday during his visit to the country ahead of the Africa Air Expo 2014 Conference to be held in Accra.

The Expo, 2014 which will come up  in October, is a public- private arrangement between the Ministry of Transport, Adone Event of Cannes, 4M Events Organisation and the Dubai-based ICE, both in the United Arab emirate (UAE).

Themed, ‘Connecting the World of Aviation to the African Market’, the platform would allow players to dialogue and share information on how to improve the aviation industry in Africa.

Briefing the media on the conference, Mr. Hammadi said the conference would also attract investors in developing the country’s aviation.

He said Ghana is ripe for investment and the UAEAA was committed to partnering government in developing aviation sites in the country.

The Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor, who met the delegation from UAE, said the government was ready to work with investors who had shown interest in developing the country’s aviation.     –  Bernard Benghan
