Two friends who allegedly conspired to steal from a house at Ayikai Doblo, a suburb of Amasaman, in the Ga West municipality have been arrested by the Police.

The suspects who are in the custody of the police are Oscar Ngissah, 26 alias Penin and Shadrack Adjei, 21, the Amasaman Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent (Chief Supt) Francis Yiribaare told the Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday.

He said on September 10, at about 2p.m, the complainant (name withheld) was in the house when he saw Ngissah jumping into her neighbour’s house and called his father who was also home.

The Commander said, the residents were alerted and Ngissah was arrested. He mentioned Adjei who was standing in front of the house and on the lookout for oncoming people to alert his friend.

He said Adjei was later arrested and the two were handed over to the Police.

Chief Supt Yiribaare said, the two had since been charged for stealing and granted bail with two sureties each but they were yet to meet the bail requirement.

He commended the residents of the community for their corporation with the Police which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
