Two Arrested For Attempted Robbery

criminalsTwo people, who attempted to rob an iron company at Tema, have been arrested by the police.

They are Yao Agbeviade, 45, a mason, and Rewine Tamimu, 22, a trader.

The Kasoa District Crime Officer, Deputy Superintendent (DSP) Samuel Naa Musa told The Ghanaian Times that Agbeviade recruited Tamimu and others including a police informant at Buduburam, for the operation.

Agbeviade is said to have provided motor-bikes for the operation.

The police informants feigned interest and reported the incident to the police and they were arrested at Buduburam.

Investigations revealed that Noah, who hatched the plan, is a former employee of the company.

Noah is reported to have contacted Agbevede who recruited Redwine and the two police informants.

DSP Musa said the two would be put before court soon, for attempted robbery.
