Gertrude Asamoah, a mathematics teacher of Agona Senior High Technical School in the Ashanti Region and a mother of three, yesterday won a three-bedroom house as the ultimate prize in the MTN ‘M’ afe Nie’ promotion.
The presentation of the first batch of prizes which took place at the forecourt of the MTN service centre on the Graphic road saw loyal MTN customers winning prizes ranging from a house, KIA Rio car, iphone 6+ handset, 32-inch LED TVs, Lumia 535 handset, power banks, Huawei Y220 phones and MTN airtime.
Additionally, two gentlemen, Prince Borbie and Sunday Olawele, who came second and third respectively in the promotion, drove home a KIA Rio each.
The gesture, is to look beyond providing communications service and add value to the lives of loyal customers of the mobile telecommunications giant.
The promotion was launched on March 1, and will run till the end of May, and at the end of each month, winners will be selected based on the percentage of margin by which they exceed their monthly target points.
The promotion is opened to MTN pay-as-you-go customers only.
Speaking at the ceremony, Marketing Officer of MTN, Mr. Rahul De said as a leading telecoms brand in the country, they saw it prudent making the lives of their subscribers better.
This, according to him led to the launch of the ‘M’afe Nie’ promotion to give customers the opportunity to win life changing valuables.
He urged customers not to miss out on the new life changing experience since the company will monthly reward over 10,000 customers and expressed his gratitude to the participants for keeping faith with them.
He assured that MTN will continue to invest in infrastructure and technology to ensure better service delivery.
Kofi Anane, who received the prize on behalf of her wife, surprisingly said, the family after hearing the advert of the promotion went for GH¢5000 loan and spent GH¢4000 out of the loan on buying airtime to participate in the promotion.
