Millicom International Cellular, a leading international telecommunication company and operators of Tigo Ghana has introduced a special 2015 hajj package.
The package is to help customers in the country communicate and stay connected with relatives on the religious pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The special Tigo 2015 Hajj offer includes 25 per cent reduction of the international call rates to Saudi Arabia for Tigo pre-paid customers and a high tech communication connectivity to ensure that pilgrims enjoy communication with their relatives.
The offer is also packaged with a special roaming service to allow Ghanaians in Saudi Arabia and on Tigo to call their relatives back home with ease.
Tigo International Business Manager, Abdul-Malik Adam, explained that Ghanaian pilgrims using Tigo network could use the offer to call any other network to ensure constant contact with family members and loved ones back home for a long period of time.
“We have reduced the packages by 25 per cent because our customers want to stay longer on calls with their loved ones embarking on the religious pilgrimage,” he said.
The Hajj offer, he said, would help customers to make significant savings and urged all Muslims whose relatives are going on pilgrimage to Mecca to take advantage of the offer to communicate at ease.
According to Mr. Adam, Tigo provides affordable, widely accessible and readily available cellular telephony services to more than 30 million customers in 13 emerging markets.
“The success of Tigo,” he said, “was based on the triple ‘A’ business model which stands for Affordability, Accessibility and Availability which guarantees that our subscribers experience the best services at the most affordable rates throughout the country and beyond.”
