Thrills at ‘BukomBeatDown’ boxing

The Kalakoda Promotions and Kwese Sports’ boxing event dubbed ‘BukomBeatDown’ came off at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday with patrons thrilled to exciting bouts of boxing.
Hundreds of boxing lovers within Accra and beyond trooped to the venue to witness the event which saw seven international bouts in different weight divisions.
In a vacant WABU cruiserweight championship, Abraham Tabul defeated Stephen Abbey via a unanimous decision.
The vacant WABU welterweight championship between Daniel Lartey from Ghana and Sie Palenfo from Cote d’Ivoire ended in a draw.
Agboson Yaovi stopped Nuhu Azumah in the first round in their international cruiserweight contest while Christian Ndzie Tyose from Cameroon also stopped Ghana’s Kofi Johnson in the third round of a heavyweight contest.
Wasiu Mohammed stopped Daniel Quartey in a featherweight contest; Cameroon’s Salif Ndjam beat Ghana’s Enoch Lamptey to win the super welterweight contest just as Abraham Afful knocked out Joseph Tagoe in the third round.
