The Job Is Not Yet Done

JrdnCaptain of the local Black Stars, Jordan Opoku says the job is not yet done following the opening win over Congo in the CHAN tournament.

A solitary strike by Theophilus Anobaah earned the Black Stars a slim 1-0 win at the Free State Stadium last Monday.

Ghana is now well positioned to clinch an early qualification from Group C ahead of their second game against Libya who were impressive 2-0 winners over Ethiopia.

Skipper Opoku has chosen to remain focussed on the job at hand despite admitting to the heightened team confidence following the win.

“We didn’t know much about our opponent in the first game and therefore we needed a strong mentality to sail through,” he said.

“It is important to win the first game in a tournament to boost your morale and confidence going forward.

“It doesn’t mean we should be complacent, we should remain focused for the job is still not yet done.”
