Tesano Spinners dominate male, female ping pong

The Ghana Table Tennis Federation (GTTF) league continued over the weekend with mouthwatering fixtures at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

League leaders Tesano Spinners continued with their fine performances as they beat the Ghana Police Service 3-2 in the first encounter and went on to finish off Ashaiman Power Club with a 3-0 straight set win.

Ghana Immigration Service also put up a splendid performance as they beat Ashaiman Power Club and Team Coach Addo 3-0 each.

The Ghana Police Service after losing to the Spinners in their first game came back strongly to defeat the Ghana Army 3-2 in their second game.

In the other results, Ghana Revenue Authority beat Ghana Army 3-1 in the first game but lost 3-2 to Ashanti Otumfuo Stars.

Synergy T.T Club after beating Team Coach Addo 3-2 also lost 3-0 to the struggling side, Madina Stars.

In the women category, league leaders Tesano Spinners showed no mercy to Ashanti Otumfuo Stars by beating them 3-0 in the first match of the day to maintain their high status in the competition.

There were also wins for the Ghana Police service, Ghana Revenue Authority and the Ghana Army as they comfortably beat Western Table Tennis Club, Ghana Navy and Madina Stars 3-0, 3-1, 3-0 respectively.

However the Spinners are still on top of the league table in the men’s category with 57 points as Ghana Immigration Service and Ghana Police Service are second and third on the league table with 55 and 47 points.

In the women category, Tesano Spinners still occupies the first position with 36 points as Ghana Army are closely behind them with 32 points while Team Coach Addo are third with 27 points.
