Tennis: Burma Camp hosts IBB

The bi-annual international friendly tennis tournament between the Burma Camp Tennis Club (BCTC) and their Nigerian counterparts, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB) Country and Golf Club (Tennis section) is set to take place at Burma Camp on Saturday.
The tournament held in March and October annually to celebrate the independence anniversary of both Ghana and Nigeria is set to renew the age-long rivalry in sports.
This would be the eighth fixture in the series since its inception with both sides promising fireworks.
BCTC will bask on home support to make their ‘host and win’ dream a reality with IBB vowing to break that home invincibility often posed by host countries.
Both sides will field strong sides for the duel with BCTC featuring the likes of Air Vice Marshall IS kadri (Rtd), Air Commodore AA Appiah, Gp. Capt. Joshua Mensah-Larkai, Mr Adu Sarkodie, Mr Danso, Dr Ralph Ntumy, Dr Bankah, Kojo Essel and Mr Kwesi Nkansah.
IBB will also feature the likes of I. Kani, kofi Abankro, a former Ghanaian junior tennis champion, Senator Anosike, Air Vice Marshal Atawode, Dr. Chijioke, Igwe Ossi and Ossi Agugua.
CDH Holding Group is headline sponsors of the event with support from Stanbic Bank, Baj Freight, GCB Bank, Kasapreko Limited, Voltic Ghana, Sikkens Ghana and Tonydollyken Enterprise.
Tournament kicks off at 8am.
