TEIN NDC urged to settle differences amicably

Mr Alex Segbefia, the Minister of Health designate, has appealed to the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC to settle intra-house differences and grievances within the leadership of the party amicably, through the appropriate structures.

He made the call on Sunday at a special forum of the Ho Nurses Training College (NTC) TEIN, after a section of the TEIN members hooted, booed, jeered and shouted: “away, away, away,” when the Volta Regional Chairman of the of the NDC, Mr Kwadwo Gyapong was introduced at the gathering .

The forum coincided with the handing over ceremony for new officers of the NTC TEIN.

The taunting TEIN members accused Mr Gyapong of the lack of transparency in the running of the affairs of the party in the region, and said he was on record to have said that TEIN was not part of the NDC.

Mr Segbefia said that: “We all know what disunity can do, so let us settle all our problems as social democrats and not property owning democrats”.

He urged NDC supporters and TEIN members to unite ahead of the 2016 election, adding that “no one of use is as powerful as all of us”.

The National Organiser of the NDC, Mr Kofi Adams, called for unity among party supporters, saying “the NDC would stand for the truth at all times”.
