Talented Royal School gets new building

Talented 1Nii Boafo Daanyinaase I, the acting chief of Weija, in the Greater Accra Region, has inaugurated a new building for the Talented Royal School, at the community, last weekend.

The new school building has 24 classrooms, a clinic, library, a security post, play ground, Information and Communication Technology laboratory and a cafeteria.

The District Director of Education for Ga South Municipality, Mrs. Margaret Frimpong Koree, commended authorities of the Talented Royals School for promoting education in the Weija area.

She advised parents to invest in the education of their children, to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills needed for national development.

Mrs. Koree urged teachers to upgrade their skills to be able to impart knowledge to the students, saying “God has given each child talent and when unearthed, it becomes easier for the child to learn, instead of forcing him or her into vocations he or she dislikes.”

She asked parents to support teachers to monitor and supervise children at school in order to maintain high moral standards.

Mr. Edward Afful, head teacher of the school, promised to give scholarships to brilliant but needy children to be able to complete their education.
