A total of 145 fresh students of the Takoradi campus of the Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), have been matriculated into the college.
They consisted of 112 males and 33 females and would undertake programmes in the faculties of Engineering, Information Technology Business and Informatics.
Madam Nustrat–Jahan Abubakar, acting head of the campus, who led the students to swear the matriculation oath, urged the students to be committed and be diligent with their studies.
Congratulating the students on their admission, she reminded them of the challenges ahead, but said they could overcome those challenges through hard work and advised them to work hard to overcome them by working to perform creditably.
She assured them of a good learning experience in the college, and urged them to take advantage of the available opportunities.
The Head of Academics at the Takoradi campus, Mr. Ujakpa Martin Mabeifam, for his part, urged the fresh students to consider their admission as a gateway to higher achievements, and assured them of the necessary support to enable them to achieve success in their quest for academic excellence.
