The 2018 edition of the annual Korea Cup taekwondo competition organised by the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) will be held on December 6-8, Mr Frederick Lartey Otu, president of the Federation has announced.

It will be held at the Korean Community Sports Complex at Community 3, Tema.

This year’s edition will mark the 10th anniversary of the championship sponsored by the Korea Embassy in Accra.

According to Mr Otu, participants will compete in the seniors, para, junior and cadet categories and will attract prizes from the Embassy.

Explaining the age categories, Mr Otu said the cadet category will be opened to children aged 10-14, juniors will be opened to athletes aged 15-17 while the seniors event is reserved to athletes from 18 years and above.

Mr Otu added that Daedo 1st and 2nd Generation Protector and Scoring Systems will be used for the competition.

He also announced that events will kick start at 8am each day and urged athletes in the country to register for the championship.
