The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer hopeful, Sylvester Mensah, has called on delegates of the party to give him the mandate to lead the party into the 2020 elections to rescue the country from the ‘clueless hands’ of the government.
He explained that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has so far failed to fulfill its flagship programmes, what the government is doing can best be termed ‘Bawumia Economics’ which has rendered economic fundamentals of the country very weak thereby exposing the citizenry to loads of hardship.

Mr Mensah was speaking at Builsa North Constituency where he met with branch and constituency executives, as part of his five-day campaign tour in the Upper East Region.

Before going to Builsa North, Team Sly met with branch and constituency executives in Bongo, Nabdam, Bolga Central, Bolga East, Pusiga, Bawku, Chiana Paga, Navrongo Central, Binduri, Zebilla, Garu-Tempane constituencies.
“The NPP as a political party in government is failing, free SHS is failing, One-District-One-Factory is failing, One-Village-One-Dam is failing, of course, if the fundamentals are weak, your free SHS will expose you.

“If your fundamentals are weak, you cannot achieve One-village-One-dam, if your fundamentals are weak, your petrol prices will go up and expose you, if your fundamentals are weak, you will borrow $35billion in 21 months and consume all today and get nothing for investment and if your fundamentals are weak, your banking sector will expose you.

“So far, the country has experienced the leadership of a president who was a philosopher, a president who was a military man, a president who was a lawyer, a president who was a law Professor, a president who was a communication expert and a president who is a lawyer and the time has come for this country to be led by a financial and strategic management expert,” Mr Mensah asserted. –starrfmonline.com
