Surfline Set To Launch First LTE Network

Surfline Communications Limited, a new telecommunication company with focus on data, has promised to provide exceptional   internet services to boost businesses in the country.

Speaking to journalists on the operations of the company in Accra on, the Marketing Director of Surfline Communications Limited, Ms. Rosy Fynn, said the focus of the company was “to provide reliable internet services to customers,” saying “our catch word is certainty and possibilities.”

She said the company had deployed the latest “4G LTE” to provide fast data services to customers.

“Surfline Communications Limited has also partnered with Alcatel Lucent, a leading internet services provider, to deliver on our promise of offering Ghanaians with exceptional internet services,” Ms. Fynn stated.

She explained that the 4G LTE “is the superior technology in the telecommunication market” and was   being used in the advanced countries due to its ability to provide fast internet services.

Ms Fynn explained that customers who were using 2G and 3G phones could access internet services through the 4G LTE service.

“Providing access to fast and reliable service is a right and it is against this backdrop that Surfline has entered the telecom market to provide opportunity to the citizens to enjoy fast internet services,” the Marketing Director said.

She said currently the services of the company could be accessed only in Greater Accra and plans were being made to expand to the other nine regions.

Ms. Fynn said customers who signed on to the Surfline 4G LTE  could top-up for their internet bundles online.

She said the company would launch its hardware devices such as routers  next week to enable customers access it services.

Ms Fynn disclosed that the company had opened ultra modern shops in Osu and Airport and East Legon and more outlets would soon be opened  in Tema and Dansoman.

The Head of Planning of Surfline Communications Limited, Nana K. Aduhene, expatiating more on the 4G LTE systems, said the new technology downloads and uploads data faster than the 2G and 3G technology.

“It takes a second to download and upload images with the Surfline 4G LTE technology,” he said, adding “the speed of the 4G LTE is 100 mega bytes per minute”.

According him, the internet speed of the telecommunication companies which operate both data and voice was low because when the demand for voice increases, it reduces the space for data.

Surfline Communications Limited, which is the seventh operator to enter the Ghanaian telecom market, is due to be officially inaugurated next week.
