He explained that the regional hospital was the only health facility in the region that feed its patient twice daily, noting that the practice was a drain on the coffers of the hospital.
Mr. Abeberese made the appeal yesterday, when a Sunyani-based farmer, Kofi Vinyo, donated 50 bags of maize to the hospital for the upkeep ofpatients.
He said they were ready to welcome any kind of support from the general public.
He thanked Mr. Vinyo, a physically challenged person, for the gesture and urged all and sundry to emulate his example.
Mr. Kofi Vinyo said the donation formed part of his social responsibility to the hospital.
He noted that there were several prospects in farming and appealed to the unemployed to go into farming.
