The Adidome Senior High School Army cadet corps and contingents from the various kindergartens, primary, junior high schools as well as vocational institutes from various parts of the Central Tongu District on Sunday took part in a parade at the Old Assembly Hall Park at Adidome to mark Independence Day.

The salute was taken by the District Chief Executive, Madam Mary Theodora Ama Agbenyenu.

She entreated students to study diligently for a bright future.

Madam Agbenyenu also reminded them of the need to respect the elderly in society and abstain from early sex, drug abuse, and rather remain strongly focused on a decent career even in difficult situations.

“With education, many doors will open for you,” she added.

The Adidome R.C. Primary School’s contingent was adjudged the best in the primary schools category while the Adidome Methodist JHS were first in their grouping.

The International Needs Vocational School came first in their division.
