Street Lights For Ga Mashie

A view of the stretch after the commissioning of the street lightSTREETS lights have been inaugurated for the people of Ga Mashie in the Odododiodio Constituency in Accra to improve visibility.

The facility is under the Electoral Area Project of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, which involved the installation of over 1000 street lights in the 78 electoral areas.

Addressing the community, the Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Alfred Oko Vanderpuije said the government under its ‘Better Ghana’ agenda would initiate numerous development projects in the years ahead.

He said it formed part of the second phase of the Korle-Lagoon Restoration Project.

Mr Vanderpuije assured the people that the AMA was committed to its vision of providing the needed infrastructure to improve the conditions of people in the metropolis.

He advised the people to be on the alert to check any act by unscrupulous individuals to destroy the facility.

He assured the people that the assembly would be in close contact with the engineers to ensure that the facility served its purpose.

The Deputy Minister of Local Government and Member of Parliament for Odododiodio Constituency, Edwin Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, urged the people to join hands with the metropolitan assembly to complete the various projects in the area.
