Stars arrive in Franceville

The Black Stars trained in Franceville for the first time yesterday ahead of Thursday’s semi-final clash against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
Ghana produced their best performance against the Leopards of DR Congo and secured their ticket for the semi-final clash.
The team which travelled to Oyem for the quarter final clash will now get the chance to try get to the final against Cameroon and the Stars will waste no time in preparing for the encounter.
The Black Star have made history by becoming the first team to reach the semi-final of the AFCON on the last six occasions.
In a related development, it appears the Black Stars have won over Ghanaian fans
after reaching the semi finals of the AFCON for the sixth consecutive time.
And this is believed to have stemmed from the decision to accept a pay cut in the bonuses and also shown great form on the pitch.
Ghana has been one of the top performers in the Africa Cup of Nations this year following in the tradition of reaching the semi-final stage of the last six editions.
A section of fans that watched yesterday’s game supported the team and were unhappy when the Congolese pulled the equaliser.
The number of fans at the Stadium is expected to increase with information available indicating that more fans from Ghana and those resident in Gabon would support the team at the Franceville stadium.-Ghanasoccernet
