Starlets arrive today

Officials and players of the national Under-17 side, the Black Starlets, will touch down at the Kotoka Interntational Airport today after failing to progress to the semi-finals of the on-going FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
The team is expected to touch down at around 11:45am.
Starlets were gunning for a third success at the cadet level, following successes in 1991 and 1995.
Runner’s up for the last edition, Mali, last Saturday ended the Ghanaian dream with a 2-1 win at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium pitch in Guwahati, under some very bad weather conditions due to incessant rain.
The Starlets on Sunday left India’s northeasten city of Guwahati where they honoured their quarter-final game for New Delhi, from where they would fly out to Dubai and connect to Accra this morning.
Ghana played a total of five games, winning three against Colombia, India and Niger and lost to the USA and reigning African champions Mali.
