Stanbic supports Farmers’ Day

AS part of its support of  the 31st National Farmers Day celebrations, Stanbic Ghana has donated a pickup truck valued at GH¢90,000 to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

The vehicle is the prize for the Second Runner-Up, National Best Farmer and will be presented to the winner at the national celebration durbar to be held at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region.

The donation is in continuation of Stanbic Bank’s support for the agricultural sector.

The Head of Marketing and Communication of Stanbic Bank, Mawuko Afadzinu, who presented the vehicle, said Stanbic Bank had for the past eight years been donating towards the celebration of the Farmers’ Day in recognition and acknowledgement of the hard work of the fishers and farmers of Ghana whose sector is the largest employer in the country.

He said that Stanbic realises the significant contribution of farmers towards the growth of the economy; hence, the continuous support.

The Sector Minister, Mr. Fiifi Kwetey, expressed his gratitude to the bank for the show of support and called on other corporate bodies to support the celebration.
