Players in the hospitality industry will soon have one platform to share and market their products.
Through the Ghana Single Window Platform, all tourism facilities in the country will be provided with the necessary information for easy access by patrons.
The acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Gideon Aryeequaye, who disclosed this, said the contract had been awarded for the project to take off.
Speaking at a meeting with some hoteliers in Sunyani as part of his two-day working visit to the Brong Ahafo Region, he said the project was intended to boost tourism and generate revenue for the industry.
According to him, Ghana was the only country in the world that was endowed with natural tourist attractions and when well developed would generate resources and opportunities for the people in the country.
He assured that the GTA was working hard to revive the apathy associated with Ghanaians in respect of the promotion of domestic tourism.
Touching on other issues he entreated the hoteliers to build healthy relations among themselves and eschew unhealthy competition which according to him was inimical to the promotion and development of the sector.
Mr. Aryeequaye appealed to the participants to maintain high standards in their operations as well as employed qualified people with requisite training in their establishment.
During a staff durbar of GTA personnel in Sunyani, the Acting CEO assured he would address their challenges bedeviling them in order to enhance their work.
The team later went to Fula Falls at Kintampo and Boabeng Fiema Monkey Sanctuary as part of the visit.
