Sickle cell girl cries for help

Five-year old girl, Josephine Payne, suffering from severe sickle cell disease, is in need of US$15,000 for bone marrow transplantation to cure the ailment.

BMT-Ghana, the non-governmental organisation (NGO), which is to undertake the surgery, has agreed to pay US$3,000 of the cost as its corporate social responsibility.

The NGO is, therefore, calling on the general public to support in raising the extra US$12,000, which covers the entire transplant and the hospital costs.

Individuals who wish to make donations to support Josephine are kindly requested to pay into the Times Needy Fund at any UBA Bank with the account number: 0010306870151.
