Seventh Day Church cleans up Nungua Township

The Nautical Branch of the Seventh Day Adventist Church at the weekend organised a clean-up exercise to clear filth in parts of Nungua, in Accra.


The exercise which lasted about four hours, saw the church members clearing parts of the New Nungua lorry station of rubbish and desilted chocked drains around the market and its surroundings areas.


The clean-up preceded a 10 day conference and crusade dubbed, Accra City Conference, under the theme “End it now”.


Mr Alexander Boanor, Men’s Mission Chairman of the conference said the clean-up was to drum home the need to keep their surroundings clean.


Mr Joshua Ziem Dagah member of the church considers the formation of religious bodies in the area was to organise weekly clean-ups to help rid the city of filth.


Tourching on the conference, Elder Kwame Apaiagye and Mr Boateng Bomfeh, both members of the church, announced a free health screening and evangelism through the week.
