The Director and proprietor of Complex Leader Worldwide International School, a private school at Nima in Accra, was yesterday found dead in the school’s computer laboratory.
Mr. Jerome Nutsugah, 50, was found with bloodstains by one of the teachers who opened the laboratory to tidy it.
The police confirmed the death but declined to give details.
Ms. Delight Agbesi, the teacher, told The Ghanaian Times that she got to the school at 8 a.m. and when she opened the laboratory, she found Mr Nutsugah lying on the table while his shirt was on the floor with blood stains, and the trousers partly removed, with bruises on his mouth and legs.
She said the deceased lived in the school, and added that she noticed that the sliding windows and the backdoor were opened.
“When I opened the door, I saw him on the table, so I thought he was asleep. But when I got closer, I saw that he was dead and there were bloodstains all over. His shirt had been removed and lying on the floor, together with his shoes, and his trousers was almost down,” she said.
Ms. Agbesi said she also saw a fruit juice on the table and the chairs in the laboratory scattered.
She said the police had been informed about the incident.
When contacted, a source at the Nima Police Station confirmed the incident and said investigations were underway.
Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital morgue awaiting autopsy.
