Satellites beat Australia

Yb1GHANA’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites beat Australia 2-0 yesterday in the on-going four-nation tournament in New Zealand.

The Black Satellites opened the scoring through Emmanuel Boateng before Manchester City youngster, Yaw Yeboah, added the second.

All goals were scored in the first half after a commanding display.

The game is Ghana’s last match in the five build-up games ahead of the FIFA under-20 World Cup tournament hosted by New Zealand.

Sellas Tetteh’s side defeated tournament sponsors Qatar by 4-0 in the first game before demolishing a New Zealand Invitation XI by 9-0 in the second game in Hamilton and rounded it up with a 2-0 win over Australia at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Wednesday evening.

The Satellites will fly to Australia for their next stage of preparation with a highly boosted morale after recording 15 goals in the three matches in the Pre-tournament build up.
