Sampaman Chief releases land for school project

The Chief of Dome-Sampaman, near Amasaman in the Ga West Municipality, Nii Sampah Kojo VI, has released five plots of land for the construction of a basic school.

This is to end the situation where children of school-going age in the community walked long distances daily to attend school at Adjen-Kotoku, Kwashie-Kuma and Drobo-Gonno.

Nii Sampah Kojo made the announcement at a durbar held to discuss the development of the town.

The people, through voluntary contributions and labour, had already built a police post to strengthen security in the area.

He called on the municipal assembly to support the people in their efforts at addressing pressing development needs through self-help.

He appealed for the rehabilitation of the nine-kilometre road linking the town with Amasaman, which was in bad shape.
