Salaga MP Assists Teacher – Trainees

MumuniThe Member of Parliament (MP) for the Salaga North constituency of the Northern Region Mr. Alhassan Mumui has offered financial assistance to 21 teacher trainees in the constituency.

The MP, who paid half of the fees of each of the 21 teacher-trainees, said it was part of his efforts to improve the quality education in the area.

Mr. Mumuni expressed worry about the falling standards of the education in the area, and promised to do initiate more interventions to reverse the situation.  

He emphasized that the future of the constituency was in the hands of the children, and therefore, there was an urgent need for resources to be mobilized the to promote quality teaching and effective learning in schools in the area.

The MP said his vision of ensuring that all children in the constituency had access to quality education was on course and entreated all the stakeholders to assist realise the dream.

Mr. Mumuni stressed that the fight against poverty in the constituency would be a mirage if no effort was made to improve upon academic performance of the students.

The MP also impressed upon teachers in the constituency to be more commitment in work, and assured them of support.

The Chief of Gbun, Kakpadewuri Sayibu Baba Mumuni commended the MP for his contribution towards the provision of quality education, and assured his of their continuous cooperation.

Mr. Mohammed Alawal, a beneficiary on behalf of teachers, thanked the MP for support and promised to live up to expectation.
