‘Sack Greater Accra NPP Executives’

owusuThe Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, has charged Greater Accra Regional delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote out current executive members to pave the way for new and vibrant ones.

Speaking on Tuesday, Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful, expressed disgust at the attitude of the party’s regional executives which she blamed for the party’s woes.

She said party leaders in Greater Accra Region failed to capitalise on the appalling governance by the ruling National Democratic Congress during the 2012 electioneering campaign.

According to her, the regional executives did not offer support to parliamentary candidates some of whom -including herself- had to rely on the expertise of former executives to be able to win seats for the party.

Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful further accused Mr. Ishmael Ashiettey, Regional Chairman of the NPP, of running the party from his residence in Tema to the neglect of the regional office.

She, therefore, charged party faithfuls in Greater Accra to vote out all the current executives and bring in vibrant and proactive people who have what it takes to lead the NPP to victory in 2016.—Source: peacefmonline
