Rosemond Aryeetey Nominated For Continental Award

AryeeteyThe Head of Corporate Communications for Global Media Alliance, Rosemond Aryeetey has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious 2013 Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards to be held in Ghana in September.

The awards are being organised by CEO Communications, a South African-based media organisation that has been recognising and celebrating the role women play in the development of their organisations and society for the past 12 years.

The awards are held annually to recognise inspirational and influential women in different fields of endeavours in business and government.

Mrs. Aryeetey was selected alongside other personalities like Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, former first lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs. Adwoa Kwateng-Kluvitse, Country Director of ActionAid Ghana, Professor Anna Lartey, Associate Professor at the University of Ghana and Mrs. Cecilia Adwoa Kwofie, Managing Director of Domod Aluminium Limited,
Others are Mrs. Elizabeth Quarcor Akpalu, Executive Director of Advocates for Gender Equity, Ghana, Madam Esi Sutherland-Addy, a Senior Research fellow at the University of Ghana, Ms. Esther Gatuma, a humanitarian, Mrs. Felicia Sagoe Gbesemete, a veteran lawyer and Mrs. Sheila Minkah-Premo, Apex Law Consultant and Gender Activist.

The rest are Ms. Rose Bio Atinga, Director of Administration at the Police Headquarters, Mrs. Kate Quartey, CEO of Reroy Cables Limited and Mrs. Lucia Quachey, CEO of Ghana Association of Women Entrepreneurs (GAWE).

As the Head of Corporate Communications, Rosemond Aryeetey oversees brand visibility for all of GMA’s brands, that is, e.tv Ghana, Silverbird, YFM (Accra &Takoradi), Happy FM and Anigye FM. Prior to this role, she was the Head of Public Relations (PR) for GMA.

Sharing her excitement on her selection as a finalist, Mrs. Aryeetey noted that” I am truly honored to selected for this very prestigious award. I believe that this recognition is as a result of my hardwork, and the enriching influence of all people I have worked with throughout my career so far. I am truly humbled”.

CEO Communications has, for the past twelve years, been organising the Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards, which has evolved into Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards, an awards event hugely recognised as the pre-eminent recognition platform for women on the continent.

The awards programme has a stringent credible judging process and its evolving recognition methodology ensures that the deserving women win on their various sectors.

The judging panel comprises an independent group of industry leaders in order to ensure a fair outcome.
