‘Rhythms on Da Runway’ will be memorable- KOD

PThe brain behind the annual fashion and music event, Rhythms on Da Runway, Kofi OkyereDarko(KOD), has revealed that his outfit has put the necessary measures in place to ensure a memorable event at the iconic Osu Castle on August 31.

The show would parade some of Africa’s leading designers in men’s and women’s wear, who would be unveiling their latest collections and creations through a night of glitz and glamour.

Speaking to The Spectator, he said one significant thingwas the fact that the event had coincided with the country’s Year of Return programme, considering the nature of the event, which is mostly Pan-African in nature.

He added that his outfit had well-coordinated the various activities to ensure the African story is told appropriately through the rich cultural heritage on the night, and  create an avenue for local and international fashion designers to work and promote the African continent.

KOD noted that the event would be interspersed with music brewed in the country’s musical pot, with renowned artistes leading the charge.

One of them, who would be honoured on the night is Obrafour, affectionately called, “Ghana Rap Sofo” whose first album, “PaeMuka” is 20 years since its release.

He mentioned that, there would be musical performances from Stonebwoy, Pat Thomas, Rex Omar and King Promise, with comedian DKB ensuring the audience got into an uncontrollable mood of laughter.

On security, he said adequate measures had been put in place to safeguard patrons.

This year’s event would be hosted by broadcasters, Nathaniel Attoh and Nana Aba Anamoah.
