The Founder and leader of the Good Shepherd Ministry, Reverend Isaac Acquah had been elevated to the position of a bishop at a ceremony at Yawkro near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.
The position was conferred on him by the International Christian Clergy Association (ICCA), in collaboration with the Global Clergy Impact Ministerial Association Commonwealth Aid International, Canada.
The well attended programme brought together people from all walks of life.
The chairman of ICCA, the Rev. Dr. Mcmos Eastlight, presenting a citation to the newly ordained bishop, commended him for his dedication and humanitarian activities to the church and the country.
He urged Bishop Acquah to shepherd the flock put in his care and desist from any negative practices that would affect the image of the church.
The Vice president of the ICCA, Bishop Paul Yeboah in a sermon on the theme “Occupy till I come”urged Christians to promote the work of God till the second coming of Christ.
He said as Christians we will be judged according to our work given to us by God.
The Vice President stated that Christians should pray at all times to prevent temptation from the enemy.
He urged the congregation to pray and support the new bishop in the discharge of his duties.
Bishop Acquah commended the association for the honour, stating that it would encourage others to give of their best.
He called on Ghanaians to ensure peaceful election during the December polls.
“We must all as Ghanaians endeavour to desist from provocative words that will jeopardise the peace of the country,” he stressed.
