PSG deny rumour Neymar leaving for £200m

PARIS Saint-Germain have told Eurosport that reports of a secret agreement with Neymar that would allow the Brazilian to leave are ‘fake news’.

Initial mention of a supposed ‘secret agreement’ emerged on the TV show La Porteria on Channel Beteve, with the Spanish written press then running with similar stories.

The rumoured agreement was said to allow Neymar to leave Paris for £200m, with Real Madrid or former club Barcelona the most highly linked.

However, PSG have flat out denied that such a clause exists, telling Eurosport that the Spanish reports are ‘fake news’.

Reports of a possible return to Spain for Neymar are unlikely to fade anytime soon, despite PSG’s intervention, particularly after the Brazilian’s father was pictured at a meeting with Barcelona’s head scout earlier this month.

Real Madrid have also been frequently linked with bids for Neymar after a slow start to the season and a struggle to replace the star power of Cristiano Ronaldo. - Eurosport
