The President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Ambassador Kwame Tenkorang as Ghana’s new High Commissioner for Nairobi, Kenya.
Ambassador Tenkorang took the Oaths of Secrecy, Office and Allegiance which were administered by the President.
He was the immediate Past Director of the State Protocol.
President Mahama, in his address said he knew the capabilities of Ambassador Tenkorang and had every belief that he would perform very well at his new duty post.
He announced that he had invited the Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta as Special Guest of Honour at Ghana’s 59th Independence Day celebration.
President Mahama said President Kenyatta’s visit was reciprocal of an earlier visit he made to Kenya last year.
He charged Mr. Tenkorang, that his first assignment in Kenya should be to facilitate the coming of President Kenyatta to Ghana.
Mr. Tenkorang, in his acceptance speech, thanked the President and promised to work with zeal and expertise.
