Presby. Church Honours Teye Nyaunu, Others

TEYEThe Presbyterian Church of Ghana, at its 13th annual general meeting at Abetifi Kwahu in the Eastern Region, has awarded 19 personalities whose contributions have led to development of the church in their respective communities across the country.

The awardees were chosen by the selection committee from a list of 30 nominees. Among them was Mr. Michael Teye Nyaunu, a former Member of Parliament for Lower Manya in the Eastern Region.

The citation accompanying the award congratulated Mr. Nyaunu on the playing a commendable role he played in fund raising programmes (day born harvest and distant members’ day celebrations) at the Manya Kpongunor congregation.

“You single handedly tiled the floor of the chapel, provided burglar proof, sliding windows and undertook other important projects of the church. Your generous contributions to the growth and well being of the church will forever remain fresh in the annals of the Dangme Tongu Presbytery”.

“The pastor, session and the entire members of the Manya Kpongunor Presbyterian Church as well as the family wish to congratulate Mr. Nyaunu on the feat and wish to encourage him to do more even in the coming years.”

Mr. Michael Teye Nyaunu had in the past received similar citations from the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Anglican Church and the Roman Catholic Church, among others, for his immense contributions.
