Pres. reshuffles Cabinet

Mr Kwaku Agyemang Mensah,Minister of Health.. (1)President John Dramani Mahama has reshuffled his cabinet and made new appointments to his government.

A press statement signed by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, said Dr. Mustapha Ahmed (MP — Ayawaso North), a Minister of State at the Presidency, takes over the Ministry of Youth and Sports from Mahama Ayariga (MP — Bawku Central), who moves to the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.

The statement said, Mr. Akwasi Oppong–Fosu moves to the Presidency as Minister of State.

It added that the Alhaji Collins Dauda (MP — Asutifi South), Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, has been re-assigned to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, while the Minister of Health, Dr. Kwaku Agyeman Mensah, takes over the ministry.

The statement said Mr. Alex Segbefia, Deputy Minister of Defence, has been nominated as the new Minister of Health, while the Headmaster of Tepa Senior High School, Peter Anarfi-Mensah, has also been nominated for the post of Ashanti Regional Minister.

Other deputy ministerial nominees are Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (MP — Juabeso), Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, to replace Ebenezer Okletey Teye Larbi (MP — Lower Manya Krobo); Samuel Yaw Adusei, for the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing and Kenneth Gilbert Adjei for the Ministry of Defence.
