PPP Condemns The Violence

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has condemned the violence that occurred at the head office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Accra on Tuesday in which about a dozen thugs invaded and disrupted a press conference being addressed by the party’s chairman, Paul Afoko.

A statement issued yesterday and signed by the party’s national youth organizer, Divine Nkrumah, described the incident as “shameful”.

“We condemn the violence, destruction, anger and hate exhibited at the NPP head office on Tuesday.  It is obvious that the NPP has set aside the multiple problems Ghanaians are confronted with and have chosen rather to concentrate on infighting and winning power within their party.  When will NPP find the time to find solutions to save Ghana from the mismanagement going on now? the statement added.

“We want Ghanaians to take note also and join together with the PPP to say, enough is enough!, It is time for change.  Ghanaians have had enough of the NDC-NPP impunity, arrogance and insatiable thirst for power while the people go hungry and stay jobless”.
