The Homicide Unit of the Ghana Police Service is investigating the sudden disappearance of a 32-year-old surveyor of the Adentan Urban Roads Department in Accra.

Francis Owusu Darquah was said to have left home by the company’s vehicle, three months ago, to visit his wife at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, but has since not reported to duty.

The Head of the Homicide Unit, Superintendent William Sedrame who disclosed this to The Ghanaian Times in Accra yesterday, said efforts to trace Darquah had not been successful.

He said Darquah was granted a one week leave to travel to Kumasi to visit the family.

Supt. Sedrame said Darquah left home on July 13, with the office vehicle with registration number GN 5630-13 and told his nephew he was going through Koforidua in the Eastern region, to meet his driver before proceeding to Kumasi.

He said several calls to his mobile phones had proved futile and the family could not trace Darquah and the vehicle and thus reported the case to the police,” he added.
