The operation, led by the Madina Divisional Police Command, followed a court order.
There was heavy security presence at the scene during the destruction at about 10am.
The exhibits were reported to have been seized from suspects who were arrested by the police.
The Madina Divisional Crime Officer, Superintendent Joe Oppong, who led the exercise, said the exhibits, including India hemp, fake dollars and local currency had been kept for more than10 years in the police Exhibits Room.
“These exhibits have been kept for some time now, thus attracting rodents, hence the need to dispose of them” he said.
